Yoga & More in the Mountains!

July 26-30, 2023

 

Trip Highlights:

  • All meals included except for two offsite lunches

  • Local wine provided for pre-dinner cocktails, red & white

  • Optional Daily Yoga practice led by Nancy in either an air-conditioned or outdoor setting depending on the weather

  • Optional daily group trip to a scenic hiking spot, waterfall, or local winery chosen by Nancy & Mark

  • Optional group trip to get lunch in downtown Hendersonville and in the River Arts district in Asheville

  • Time to enjoy the 85-acre farm locale boasting live animals, hiking trails, swimming pool, fishing gear provided for use in two ponds located on the property

  • Paddle boards and canoes for use, SUP

  • Access to farm’s 2 horses, 5 goats, 3 sheep, 3 ducks, and lots of chickens

  • Nearby horseback riding

  • Optional Spa treatments available onsite

  • Access to a game room featuring a pool table, ping pong tables, record player and record collection, big screen TV, games, puzzles and arts & crafts

  • Convenient location to airport, shopping, hiking, horseback riding, river tubing, and shopping

  • Accommodations for 10-17 in two accommodations at The Horse Shoe Farm: a country-chic “barndominium” and 3-5 in a wooded cottage, close to the French Broad River, overlooking Mt. Pisgah. WIFI equipped. The open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area spill out to a large elevated deck ideal for dining, socializing, or taking in the dramatic sunsets. 

  • *Price: $1847 per person double occupancy, $2047 single occupancy, $1547 family suite occupancy (4 beds)

  • Ability to attend even if you are staying offsite, once a minimum of 10 book on-site accommodations: $300/day for all meals & activities, $200/day for all activities & lunch only

Wednesday, July 26

4pm - Arrive at the Farm! Get a tour of the accommodations. Bask in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get settled in your room. 

 

5:30pm - Meet & Greet with Retreat Participants, Overview of Retreat Schedule and Activities, Pre-Dinner Wine/Beverages in The Stable House 

 

7pm - Cocktails & Appetizers at The Silo Cookhouse on the Farm 


7:30pm - Dinner at The Silo Cookhouse on the Farm 

9pm - Hang out in The Stable House or play games in the Farmhouse with group participants or go to the nightly Farm Bonfire to toast marshmallows and enjoy S’mores 


 

Thursday, July 28 

8:30-9am - Continental Breakfast at The Silo Cookhouse

 

9:15am  - Depart for Dupont to hike & enjoy a hike to a covered bridge and then around High Falls Loop in Dupont State Recreational Forest or go off on your own to do any of the following:

4-mile Paddle on Horse Shoe Bend - $38-$50/pp - approx 2 hours

Zen Tubing on French Broad River - $30/pp - approx 2.5 hours

Nearby Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Antiquing, etc.

 

2pm - Lunch at The Stable House

3pm -  Free time to enjoy the Farm or go off on your own - visit the animals, swim in the pool, walk the labyrinth, head down to the river, get a spa treatment, take a nap, etc. 

4-5:30pm - Optional yoga & body rolling with Nancy at The Stable House

 

6:30pm - Pre-Dinner Wine in The Stable House

 

7pm - Cocktails & Appetizers at The Silo Cookhouse 

 

7:30pm - Dinner at The Silo Cookhouse on the Farm

 

8:30pm - Hang out in The Stable House or play games in the Farmhouse with group participants or go to the nightly Farm Bonfire to toast marshmallows and enjoy S’mores 

 

Friday, July 29

8:30-9:30am - Continental Breakfast at The Silo Cookhouse

 

9:30am  - Depart for NC Arboretum to enjoy hiking trails or a self-guided tour of the gardens or go off on your own to do any of the following:

4-mile Paddle on Horse Shoe Bend - $38-$50/pp - approx 2 hours

Zen Tubing on French Broad River - $30/pp - approx 2.5 hours

Nearby Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Antiquing, etc.

Hop On/Hop Off Trolley Tour of Asheville

 

2pm - Lunch at White Duck Taco in Asheville’s River Arts District

 

3:30pm -  Free time to enjoy the Farm or go off on your own - visit the animals, swim in the pool, walk the labyrinth, head down to the river, get a spa treatment, take a nap, etc. 

 

4:30-6pm - Optional yoga & body rolling with Nancy at The Stable House

 

6:30pm - Pre-Dinner Wine in The Stable House

 

7pm - Cocktails & Appetizers at The Silo Cookhouse

Saturday, July 30

10am  - Depart for Jump-Off Rock for mountain gazing and optional short trail hike. 

 Or trip to downtown Hendersonville or Chimney Rock State Park. Group will vote and decide ahead of time.

 

12pm - Lunch in either downtown Hendo or Chimney Rock/Lake Lure

 

2pm -  Free time to enjoy the Farm or go off on your own - visit the animals, swim in the pool, walk the labyrinth, head down to the river, get a spa treatment, take a nap, etc. 

 

4:30-6pm - Optional yoga & body rolling with Nancy at The Stable House

 

6:30pm - Pre-Dinner Wine in The Stable House

 

7pm - Cocktails & Appetizers at The Silo Cookhouse

Credit/Debit Card Payments for the full amount will be charged an extra $50 for card processing fees. Card payments for installments will be charged an extra $14/installment for card processing fees.

Cancellation Policy: Per the Farm, deposits are non-refundable unless the property can be re-rented for that time. We are undertaking the risk as a group, so unless your spot can be filled by someone else, all fees are non-refundable. If your spot is filled, you will only forfeit the $350 non-refundable deposit.

  • Optional group trip to see Shakespeare in the Park

  • 85-acre farm locale boasts hiking trails, free bikes to use to explore, fishing gear provided for use in two ponds located on the property

  • Optional Spa treatments available just downstairs

7pm - Dinner & Sunset at The Silo Cookhouse on the Farm (local wine provided)

 

8:30pm - Hang out in The Stable House with group participants or go to the nightly Farm Bonfire to toast marshmallows and enjoy Smores 

 

Thursday, July 28

10am - Optional Yoga/BR w/ Nancy

2pm - Optional Trip to the NC Arboretum to tour the botanic gardens and/or hike the amazing trails

5:45pm - Depart for picnic & Shakespeare in the Park in Asheville performed by the Montford Park Players 

or Have Dinner on Your Own in Hendersonville, Brevard, Asheville, etc.

 

8pm - For those who don’t go to Shakespeare in the Park - Hang out in The Stable House with group participants or go to the nightly Farm Bonfire to toast marshmallows and enjoy Smores  or head to downtown Hendersonville for music & a nightcap
